SUMMARY

I am an associate professor and researcher at Iran Polymer and Petrochemical Institute (IPPI) with more than 19 years of industrial & academic experience as a R&D researcher, project manager, and post graduate education. Areas of research expertise include (1) synthesis of functional materials from petrochemical and bio-based resources, (2) development of adhesive and coating formulations (3) nanocomposite preparation, (4) material characterization, and (5) polymer surface modification, which has been published and presented in +35 ISI papers, 7 patents, and +50 conference presentations (H-index=16). During these years, I gained a deep knowledge of different analysis via spectroscopic, microscopic, mechanical, thermal, and biological instruments to evaluate the final properties of the materials. Also, I truly enjoy working in a research team systematically. I am friendly, creative and good in communicating with different people.

WORK EXPERIENCE

May 2002-Present

Ø  Senior Researcher, Associate Professor, Iran Polymer and Petrochemical Institute (IPPI), Tehran, Iran

Ø  Head of Dept. Industrial & Scientific Relations in IPPI (2016-2018)

Ø  Head of Dept. Monitoring & Planning in IPPI (2010- 2013)

During these years, I was involved in several research projects working on different fields of polymer science and technology. Specifically, I was interested on different aspects of adhesion science such as the surface treatment of organic materials and development of adhesive/coating formulation based on conventional resins (e.g., epoxy, acrylics, etc.) and/or the newly bio-based polymers.  I use different spectroscopic, microscopic, thermal and mechanical tools to evaluate the polymer surface properties.

Ph.D. in Polymer Science and Engineering [First honor student, GPA: 18.94 out of 20.00]

Iran Polymer & Petrochemical Institute, Tehran, Iran

 

The main goal of my Ph.D. was to improve the adhesion of the acrylic coating on polypropylene (PP) substrate through incorporation of the polar additives in PP matrix.  We produced the polar additives in our lab and then loaded into PP matrix. This work resulted in publication of four ISI papers and nine presentations in international seminars.

M.Sc. in Polymer Engineering [GPA: 16.95 out of 20.00]

My M.Sc. work was about the preparation of epoxy-novolak film adhesive. Different adhesive properties were investigated to find the optimum formulation with the right performance. This work resulted in publication of one ISI paper and two poster presentations.

INTERESTS

I enjoy traveling ancient sites and being active in solving environmental concerns like mountain and ocean pollution from plastic wastes. Also, I am keen about communicating with different people of different culture.
