-  Cell sheet engineering using smart polymers
- Tissue engineering: making of scaffolds from biodegradable polymers (PLLA, PDLLA, PLGA and PHB) for nerve and bone tissue engineering and evaluation of cells (stem cell) interaction with scaffolds.
- Laser and plasma induced surface modification of for biocompatibility applications.
-  Modification of polyurethane for artificial heart valves uses.
-  Production and modification of porous polydimethyl siloxane for artificial vascular graft applications.
-  Modification of polydimethyl siloxane and cell seeding for production of artificial skin.
-  Grafting of polydimethylsiloxane with acrylamide (AAm), poly-n-vinylpyrolidone (NVP) and hydroxyethylmethacrylate (HEMA) and hydroxyethylmethacrylate phosphothylcoline (HEMAPC) by CO2 - pulsed laser for production of artificial vascular grafts.
